True Love

Our friend Peter had some extra time before one of his photo shoots so he took some pictures of our family for fun. And fun we had!! We love Peter and his generousity. Here is one that he took of me and the "older" girls.

Sisters Retreat

These boots are made for walkin'.... but maybe not for shoppin'.

Since most of us were born and raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, there is no reason to be ashamed to celebrate our inner cowgirl. Here are three of us sporting our boots--mine are blonde, my mom's are the brown ones, and my sister Korinne is wearing the grey. (Incidentally, the grey ones belonged to my dad...he died as he was removing them one evening. Nothing happened to Korinne though, unless you count the blisters.)

Here she is: rich, sexy and single. Jessica is also the winner of our "Spent the Most Money" prize. No, she didn't by this couch, but she should have. It goes so well with her outfit.

Feast Your Eyes

The bugs may be large, the summers may be sweltering, but I don't know of many places that can top North Carolina on fall colors. Even after our "drought" this year we still have fantastic colors. This is the view from our back door.

The Bread Wagon

As soon as Sophie and Syrena saw the photo of the play kitchen in the Pottery Barn Kids Catalog they could not get it out of their minds (or mouths). So I told them that if they earned $50.00, we would send that money to Santa and tell him to bring them a kitchen. (I didn't tell them it would be a Pottery Barn kitchen, though....Santa does have a budget.) So right away they went to work by making pumpkin bread for our neighbors. We priced each loaf at $1.00. I did that to keep the math simple for the girls--not to make money. But Sophie caught on quick and after our first few sales and said, "Mom, I think we should be selling these for TWO dollars!" What can I say? She's a born entrepreneur.
After five batches of bread the girls achieved their goal, and now comes the hard part...waiting for Christmas...
