Today Scott (we can officially call him "Dr." now) signed on the dotted line at Duke University. Scott is so excited to have his first job that we went to Wal-Mart to buy our family some Duke shirts. Unfortunately, the Duke shirts were hanging next to the Carolina shirts, and Scott just couldn't bring himself to make the switch just yet. (Remember who is in the final four, after all!)
It will take some time before Scott can surrender his Carolina blue for the "Dook" shade. If you are unclear about how seriously people out here take the Duke/North Carolina basketball rivalry, take a look at
this. We are excited and so thrilled. Sophie and Syrena were very disappointed, however, because they were looking forward to making Michigan snowmen, but we'll have to save that for Utah and Idaho. To them all of this hupla has been a little anti-climactic. ("What? We aren't moving? Anywhere? awhhhh...")
It was a very hard decision. Thanks for voting on our poll. We decided to go with the majority after all. See, I told you your vote mattered. :)
