One of the perks of living in the East is that your kids get to take really fun field trips. This spring the 5th grade is going to Washington, D.C.
The trip isn't cheap though, and when you times the price by 2, well, it makes you wonder why we are sending our kids to the Arlington cemetery when we have plenty of nice cemeteries around here.
But my girls are hard workers, and when we told them they might have to help pay for this trip they took on the challenge.
This is our laundry room. It used to be the place where we kept our dog, back when we had a dog. I know, it kind of looks like a torture chamber.
Ew.
The girls rolled up their sleeves. They worked hard.
They taped.
They painted.
And after five hours they finished.
I am very proud of them. This was their first big painting project and they did a great job. They still need to earn more money, but this was a great start.
Here is the before and after again.

Thanks, girls!
What project should we do next?
Love the color! And serious, what happened to the dog?!
ReplyDeleteNatalie, we gave our dog to my brother and his family out West. It was win-win for both families. :)
DeleteIt looks so good!
ReplyDeleteMom It was not a win-win for me!
