Patsy

Today is my mother's birthday.

And I just wanted to let her know how happy I am that she was born, and how glad I am that she convinced my dad, after having five kids, to have another one, since it took six years and a trip to Mexico to make me happen.

(For some reason it didn't take as much convincing to get my next sister here. Probably because I was such a wonderful baby. )

Today she will be spending her birthday on her mission out in Wyoming.

Out where the deer and the antelope play.

My mom was the only member of her family to stay active in the church.

She has seven children, twenty-something grandchildren and this year her first great-grandchild was born.

I am glad that she can see how her testimony has affected generations. One strong woman can make a huge difference.

That is probably the reason I love her the most!

Happy Birthday, Mom

  3. I never quite understood how just bringing one 'soul unto Me' could bring such joy. Then I look at people like your Mom (the active ONE) and everyone that she brought into the Gospel, and I start to understand.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
